Lost Generation...

This video came in my inbox today from a dear friend in Australia..
Perhaps some of you have seen it..It's new to me and I found it to be profund..
Enjoy!

"A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward.

This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward.

Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite.

This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant!

Make sure you read as well as listen...forward and backward.

This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old.

The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP. This video won second place .

When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant.

Take a minute and watch it."

Marieanne, I was so impressed by this 20 year old..she got it right.. we can turn things around. It's a matter of trust, belief and perspective I think.
I too thought it was awesome what she percieved and put into a video format...

Thanks for stopping by ...

I've seen this before and thought it absolutely wonderful. Am curious tho what won the AARP prize so in the interest of time inefficiency and curiosity I looked it up. Here it is
http://blog.aarp.org/shaarpsession/2008/03/u50_1st_place_video_1.html
It took me a while to find and in the process I found all sorts of scathing comments about how out of touch AARP is in awarding the above linked video 1st place instead of the palindrome one that you posted. I too feel that it was way more imaginative and am wondering what was going thru the judges heads and also wondering fiven the scathing criticism they received if they will run this contest again. Food for thought - Mira

PS Thank you for following my blog and commenting

Mira what a hogwash the first prize! I was really surprised at the choice made by the judges!
The 2nd winner was in my opinion a better choice. The video spoke of the ability of turning things around as opposed to the 1st prize winner's video that spoke only of 'Hope'. I never thought about this, till it was pointed out to me by my spiritual teacher some years ago , 'Hope' implies that we have no control over things. It implies that life is a random walk where things happen or not according to luck or whatever..

The reality is that we all have the opportunity to take life into our hands and turn it around.. All of us taking responsibility for what we want to happen in our lives...I could go on..LOL!

Thank you dear for finding the other video. With all due respect for the first place winner, I still choose 'I can' as opposed to 'I hope'..
